9/11 Memorial
As I was scrolling through all the social media I could find to try and entertain me before I slipped off to sleep, I stumbled upon an article written by Steve Kandell. Steve Kandell is a writer for Buzzfeed, he wrote about the 9/11 Memorial Museum from the perspective of a family member remembering and walking through what he considers "the worst day of his life." Many times I find myself just skimming through articles that weren't grasping my whole attention trying to gather what information I could from the snippets I read. This article caught me off guard and almost gave me a second wind, easily read all the way to the end. It was a very vulnerable piece to write. Steve gave us his personal story of 9/11 and an inside look at the new memorial. It was unique, capturing, and brutally honest.

911 was a brutal day in american history to remember. I remember watching the tv when it happened thinking it was a movie. Some of my family friends died in the 911 tragedy and luckily one of my uncles just left the pentegon before it was hit by a plane. Its a day in history many people wish they could take back and never have let it happen. Great post!
